Palace suspends govt work, classes due to heavy monsoon rains

MALACAÑANG issued Memorandum Circular 29 suspending classes in all levels and government offices in Metro Manila on Thursday due to heavy rains and floods brought by Super Typhoon 'Goring' and Severe Tropical Storm 'Hanna.'

The suspension was upon the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
