House panels okay water resources department

TWO committees at the House of Representatives jointly approved the substitute bill for the creation of the Department of Water Resources (DWR).

The bill, which also seeks to create the Water Regulatory Commission (WRC), was approved on Wednesday by the Committees on Government Reorganization and Public Works and Highways.
