THE Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has secured the prestigious Level 2 Excellence Seal for Public Service from the Komisyon ng Wikang Filipino (KWF) for the third straight year for consistently using Filipino as its language in delivering 'reliable and high-quality services to the public.' 'This honor is a strong testament to DILG's fervent and continuous promotion of the Filipino language in providing ethical, excellent, and dependable service to our fellow countrymen,' said DILG Secretary Benjamin 'Benhur' Abalos Jr. of the award that was presented at the Manila Metropolitan Theater in Manila on Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2023.

The 2023 KWF Excellence Seal for Public Service is granted to agencies and local government units that have adhered to the directives of Executive Order 335 (EO 335) and have exhibited proficiency in utilizing Filipino as the language of public service.
