TOKYO: Japan on Tuesday called the harassment being faced by its citizens in China after the release of treated wastewater from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant "extremely regrettable" as it confirmed that a brick was thrown at the country's embassy in Beijing.
This came days after China banned all seafood imports from its East Asian neighbor as Japan began releasing the water from the disaster-crippled plant in an operation that Tokyo and the International Atomic Energy Agency have said is safe.
