SEC shortens settlement cycle to boost capital market

THE Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Aug. 11, 2023 issued Memorandum Circular (MC) 11, Series of 2023 amending certain provisions of the 2015 Implementing Rules and Regulation of the Securities Regulation Code (SRC).

The approved shorter settlement cycle for securities trading starting Aug. 24, 2023 is aimed at facilitating more efficient transactions and spurring activities in the Philippine Capital Market.
