BACOLOD CITY: Heavy rains caused widespread flooding in seven local government units in Negros Occidental, forcing the evacuation of thousands on Monday.
Lawyer Rayfrando Diaz, provincial administrator, said a partial report received by the Provincial Capitol showed that as of 11:20 a.m. on August 28, a total of 3,838 individuals or 1,135 families from 16 villages have been affected by the flooding that started Sunday night.
