Magnitude 5.5 earthquake rattles Davao Occidental

A magnitude 5.5 earthquake occurred in Davao Occidental early Tuesday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

The tremor took place around 1:59 a.m. some 214 kilometers southeast of Balut Island, Sarangani, also in the same province, Phivolcs said.
