EU brings relief to victims of 'Egay'

In response to the super Typhoon Egay, internationally known as Doksuri, which struck the Philippines in July, the European Union is providing over P6 million in new humanitarian funding to assist the most affected families.

This additional EU funding will support the Philippine Red Cross in delivering much needed relief assistance, including the provision of medical and first aid services, clean water supplies and hygiene items, as well as food and shelter. This aid is in addition to the P30.3 million in humanitarian funding which was provided on July 29 to support those initially affected by typhoon Doksuri, and brings the total EU response to the typhoon to over €600,000.
