PHILIPPINE economic growth could slow to well below the government's target this year following a steeper-than-expected second quarter slowdown and renewed headwinds, a Moody's Analytics economist said.

"[T]he Philippine economy disappointed on a few scores in the second quarter," Moody's Analytics' Sarah Tan told The Manila Times last week.
