Gilas Pilipinas' chances of making the FIBA World Cup second round took a huge blow as the Philippines fell to Angola, 70-80, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Sunday, August 27.

Frustrating is an understatement to describe the defeat of the home team Filipinos, who led by as many as 11, 28-17, only to crumble especially in the middle quarters.
