Dominican Republic stuns Italy, bolsters chances for second phase berth

Dominican Republic turned back Italy, 87-82, to go 2-0 in the FIBA Basketball World Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Sunday, August 27.

Andrea Feliz and Karl Anthony-Towns poured 24 points each to lead the Dominicans, who bolstered their chances of advancing to the next phase.
