HONG KONG: Elise Acuzar captured her first individual championship, while Zoe Atilano and James Lim remained dominant forces in their return to action in international competition as they added to the gold medal haul of Canlas Fencing in the Allstar Hong Kong (U17) Fencing Championships 2023 on Saturday, Aug. 26 at the Kowloon Bay International Bay and Exhibition Center (KITEC) 1 in Kowloon.
A sixth grader at Poveda, the daughter of Jon and Jasmine Acuzar ruled the under-11 mixed sabre by beating Thailand's top boys' entry Worrakorn Noppornprom 10-9 in the gold medal match.
