BAGUIO CITY: The Department of Agriculture-Cordillera (DA-CAR) in coordination with the Philippine National Police and different law enforcement agencies is ready to arrest and file charges against rice hoarders and price manipulators in the Cordillera Administrative Region.
The DA-CAR warning came after President and Agriculture Secretary Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s directive to the DA and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) to closely monitor the prices of rice in the market, and to go after personalities engaging in rice hoarding and price manipulation.
