ILOCOS NORTE: The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) has declared two municipalities and 27 barangay (villages) of Ilocos Norte as drug-cleared after they passed the Regional Oversight Committee on Barangay Drug Clearing (ROCBDC) Deliberation on Thursday, August 24.

The ROCBDC, headed by PDEA Regional Director Joel Plaza, assessed the compliance of the applicant local government units (LGUs) and barangay with the parameters and guidelines set by the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) for drug-clearing operations.
