Philippines-Dominican Republic game sets new FIBA World Cup gate attendance record

The Philippine - Dominican Republic game at the Philippine Arena on Friday, August 25 drew a new record fan attendance in the FIBA World Cup history.

Thirty eight thousand and one hundred fifteen (38,115) fans watched the said contest, topping the previous high of 32,616 fans who witnessed the USA - Russia final back in the 1994 World Cup in Toronto, Canada.
