A PROPOSED plebiscite on the approved eight towns of the special geographic area (SGA) of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) to be simultaneously held on Oct. 30, 2023 with the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) may not be possible, an official said on Wednesday.

Ray Sumalipao, lawyer and regional director of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) in the BARMM, said time constraint, especially on the procurement process, will be the key issue in holding the plebiscite and the BSKE at the same time.
