PH poised to break 29-year-old FIBA attendance record

As the Philippines makes its much-awaited home debut against the Dominican Republic on opening night on Friday, August 25, the country is also expecting to break the 29-year FIBA World Cup crowd record established in Toronto, Canada.

Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) president Al Panlilio is optimistic that the Philippines, which is co-hosting the world's biggest basketball spectacle, can reset the record at the world's largest indoor stadium, the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan.
