THE government on Wednesday opened the bidding process for a P171-billion contract to rehabilitate, optimize and maintain the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), the country's main international gateway.

Interested parties were invited to participate in a single-stage bidding under the rehabilitate-operate-expand-transfer modality in accordance with the Build-Operate-and-Transfer Law and its implementing rules.
