AT least 10 businessmen in Malabon were issued notices of violation for failing to remit a combined total of P7.34 million in Social Security System (SSS) contributions of their 164 employees. The amount consists of P4.98 million in unpaid contributions and P2.36 million in penalties. The notices of violations are part of the Run After Contribution Evaders (RACE) campaign of the SSS. Carried out by SSS-Malabon, National Capital Region-North Division, the operation was held in the villages of San Agustin, Concepcion, Tinajeros, Potrero and Tugatog on Wednesday. The notices were issued to businessmen in food and services, the SSS said.

It said that six of the owners failed to remit their employees' monthly contributions while four failed to register their businesses with the SSS.
