Myanmar arrests Swiss for allegedly insulting Buddhism

BANGKOK: A Swiss citizen was arrested in Myanmar for creating a film that allegedly insulted Buddhism, state media reported on Saturday.

Didier Nusbaumer, 52, was arrested on August 8, along with 13 Myanmar citizens, including a 12-year-old girl, the Myanma Alinn newspaper said.
