BuCor to probe NBP inmate's escape

BUREAU of Corrections (BuCor) Director General Gregorio Catapang has ordered an investigation into the escape of inmate Michael Cataroja from the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) in July.

Cataroja, who was recaptured on Thursday, August 17, in Rizal Province, claimed he was able to walk out of the maximum security facility undetected by pretending to be a visitor.
