Enrile defends Marcos' foreign trips

CHIEF Presidential Legal Counsel Juan Ponce Enrile over the weekend defended President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. on his frequent travels abroad, saying foreign trips 'serve a purpose' in pushing the country's best interests.

'The President would travel everyday if he could,' the former Senate leader said in a radio interview last Saturday. 'The President's trips, that's for the country.'
