CHIEF Presidential Legal Counsel Juan Ponce Enrile over the weekend defended President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. on his frequent travels abroad, saying foreign trips "serve a purpose" in pushing the country's best interests.
"The President would travel everyday if he could," the former Senate leader said in a radio interview last Saturday. "The President's trips, that's for the country."
