THE Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has assured of a continuous humanitarian assistance to the families who were affected by the Mayon Volcano's activity as the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan donated 300 metric tons (MT) of rice.
DSWD Disaster Response Management Bureau Director Michael Cristopher Mathay said during the ceremonial turnover of donations on Thursday, August 17, at the Albay Provincial Agricultural Office that the rice donation would significantly help in relief operations and ensure that aid is extended to Mayon evacuees.
