DMW warns public vs direct hire scams on Facebook

The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) has warned the public against unauthorized groups and individuals using Facebook to spread 'inaccurate and misleading information' on the DMW's direct hiring processes.

'The public is hereby warned of proliferating on Facebook chat and groups intended for direct hire applicants, giving inaccurate and misleading advice and information on the process to secure exemptions from the ban on direct hiring from the DMW,' the government agency said in a statement on Friday.
