CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro: The vendors at the Calapan City Public Market (CCPM) want their mayor to be true to her words and close down all talipapa (shanty markets) within the 5 kilometer radius to bring the consumers back into the CCPM.

In a press conference held at the fish section of the CCPM on Tuesday, the Samahan ng Manininda sa Palenke ng Calapan (Samapalca) said that it has been more than a year since Calapan City Mayor Malou Morillo declared that her administration would bring back the buying public to the CCPM.
