(UPDATE) PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has suspended classes in public schools in all levels and work in the government in Metro Manila and Bulacan on August 25 to make way for the opening of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023.
Presidential Communications Secretary Cheloy Garafil said the President, through Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, signed on Tuesday, August 15, Memorandum Circular 27 suspending government work and classes in public schools for the FIBA 2023 opening ceremonies that will take place at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan.
