THE National Security Council (NSC) is looking at possible espionage behind the China Coast Guard (CCG) using a water cannon to drive away a Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) crew on a supply mission to the grounded BRP Sierra Madre in Ayungin Shoal in the West Philippine Sea (WPS) on Aug. 5, 2023.
NSC Assistant Director General Jonathan Malaya on Tuesday said they suspect that some Chinese are targeting confidential information emanating from the Philippine military that detailed the mission.
