(UPDATE) THE disaster response and reporting of the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) is expected to be boosted as it has acquired satellite communication kits that it can use during calamities and emergencies.
OCD Administrator Ariel Nepomoceno said 22 portable satellite communication kits provided by Diversified Financial Network Inc. (DFNN Inc.) will boost the capability of field responders in feeding accurate information relating to casualties and damage and fast-track the delivery of basic services needed by affected communities in a disaster situation.
