(UPDATE) THE country will see hotter days ahead, the weather bureau warned as it urged the public to take precautions against the "dangerous" heat.

Dr. Marcelino Villafuerte 2nd, chief of the Climate Impact Assessment and Application, Climatology and Agrometeorology Division of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), said areas in Luzon, including Metro Manila, will have hotter temperatures.
