(UPDATE) AROUND 28 million learners are expected to troop to more than 47,000 public schools when classes resume on August 29, the Department of Education (DepEd) said.
In a command conference held at the DepEd Headquarters in Pasig City on Tuesday, Undersecretary for Operations Revsee Escobedo said that this school year's opening will be "critical" to the learning outcomes of students across the country.
