OVERSEAS Filipino worker (OFW) remittances remained positive as of the first half, but growth slowed for a second straight month, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) data showed on Tuesday.
Overall or personal remittances grew by 2.2 percent to $3.13 billion in June from $3.06 billion a year earlier, the BSP reported, with cash sent home via banks alone totaling $2.81 billion, 2.1 percent higher compared to the $2.75 billion recorded in June last year.
