LAST Friday, San Miguel Corp. Sultan Ramon Ang injected some humor into the tense controversy over the Manila Bay reclamation projects by issuing a complete whopper of a statement concerning the New Manila International Airport (NMIA), the biggest project in the company's history.
Seeking to "clarify the nature of its airport project amid recent discussions surrounding Manila Bay reclamation projects," Ang said, "The airport project does not involve reclamation. The project site has existing, valid land titles indicating its original status as land.
