'Habagat' continues to dump rain across PH

THE southwest monsoon locally known as 'habagat' continues to affect Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Tuesday.

Weather specialist Grace Castañeda told The Manila Times that the rest of the country would remain free from any weather disturbance in the coming days but because of the southwest monsoon, 'rain will be experienced in the afternoon or at night.' Palawan, Western Visayas and Zamboanga Peninsula will have overcast skies with scattered downpours and thunderstorms, the state-run weather system said.
