FIDE Master (FM) Christian Gian Karlo Arca flaunted his superiority in a field of 49 players and scored 9.0 perfect points to rule the BM De Veyra Memorial King of the 64 Squares Tournament held at Robinsons Place, Tagum City, Davao del Norte on Sunday, August 13.

The 14-year-old Arca, an incoming grade 9 student of Dasmariñas Integrated High School, started his onslaught with a victory over Allan Doroy and followed it with wins over John Carl Auson, Sebastian Marbas, FM Ellan Asuela, Woman FIDE Master Allaney Jia Doroy, National Master Jose Aquino Jr., Jayson Salubre, Randy Ebao and John Christian Lesaca.
