Baguio promotes reading program

BAGUIO CITY: The "Tara, Basa!" tutoring program, an educational initiative to recover learning losses in the country, is now in the Summer Capital to benefit learners in the elementary level, the Department of Education-Baguio division announced on Sunday, August 13.

Mayor Benjamin Magalong hailed DepEd's efforts to bridge the learning gap through such programs as reading tutorials. The educational initiative is designed to improve the students' foundational reading skills while offering short-term work and learning opportunities for financially challenged college students.
