AmCham exec: More work needed for farmer protection

MORE work is needed for the protection of Filipino farmers as the El Niño continues to intensify, an official of the American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (AmCham) said.

In a Viber interview with The Manila Times on Friday, AmCham Agribusiness Committee Chairman Christopher Matthew Ilagan said the El Niño is causing a downward trend in agricultural production, making it necessary to provide mechanisms to protect farmers.
