Batangas court finds 2 policemen guilty

A LOCAL court has found two Batangas policemen guilty of killing two female members of the Jesus is Lord (JIL) 10 years ago, the Public Attorney's Office (PAO) revealed on Wednesday.

PAO chief Persida Rueda-Acosta told The Manila Times on Wednesday that PAO just got hold of the decision of Judge Jose Recuerdo Flores, of Tanauan City Regional Trial Court's Branch 6, sentencing PO 3 Jose Rico Benitez and PO2 Mhelven Pagcaliwangan, both of the Balete (Batangas) Police Station, to a maximum of 14 years in prison for homicide.
