Napoles conviction upheld

THE Sandiganbayan's Second Division upheld its May 19, 2023 ruling that convicted Janet Lim-Napoles guilty of two counts of graft and two counts of malversation of public funds in connection with the Priority Development Assistance Fund of a former lawmaker.

In a 13-page resolution promulgated on Aug. 8, 2023, the court denied Lim-Napoles' motion for reconsideration 'for lack of merit.'
