THE Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Wednesday said it would abide by the Supreme Court's decision proclaiming Roberto "Pinpin" Uy Jr. as the duly elected Zamboanga del Norte first district representative.

"I took no part in this case. But the commission will always abide by the high court decision. That is why it is our commitment that from now on, all nuisance cases will be resolved before manual elections or before the printing of the ballots in automated elections to avoid this situation," Comelec Chairman George Erwin Garcia said.
