Fair weather in Luzon, rains in Visayas, Mindanao — Pagasa

LUZON, including Metro Manila, will have generally fair weather while Visayas and Mindanao will experience rain today, Thursday, because of the southwest monsoon or 'habagat,' the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

Pagasa maintained that Severe Tropical Storm 'Lan' (international name), would unlikely enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and will have no direct effect on the country.
