METRO Pacific Investments Corp. (MPIC) shareholders have voted to allow a voluntary delisting of Metro Pacific shares from the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE), subject to a successful tender process on a tentative date of Oct. 9, 2023.
"Based on the votes class the shareholders representing 77.72 percent, or more than two-thirds of the total assignee common shares of the company voted in favor of the delisting from the PSE. On the other hand, the shareholders representing 0.24 percent, or less than 10 percent, of the total common shares have voted against the resolution with respect to the delisting," Metro Pacific Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Manuel Pangilinan said.
