PHILIPPINE BMW distributor SMC Asia Car Distributors Corp. recently unveiled three new models and two refreshed models to make a grand finale for the month of July. Among the new releases are the XM, the 4-Series Gran Coupe, and the M3 CS, while the updated X5 and X6 have undergone a facelift for the current year.
The BMW XM takes the spotlight as it is the second vehicle solely developed by BMW's M division since the iconic M1 supercar in 1987. Under the hood, the XM boasts a newly developed twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine paired with a single electric motor, resulting in a groundbreaking total output of 653hp and 800 Nm of torque. This makes it BMW's first-ever plug-in hybrid performance engine, capable of reaching 100 kph in just 4.3 seconds. The XM also offers three driving modes: Electric, Hybrid and eControl, each providing a unique driving experience.
