SEN. Francis Joseph "Chiz" Escudero said the government may need to raise taxes to cover lost revenues from Philippine offshore gaming operators (POGOs) if these are banned completely.
The senator issued the statement following calls from some sectors to ban POGOs amid reports that human trafficking, kidnapping and other crimes were supposedly linked to their operations.
