LEGAZPI CITY: The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) will put up a seismometer in Camalig town to monitor the restive Mount Mayon.
Paul Alanis, Phivolcs Bicol resident chief volcanologist, said the installation of a seismometer is part of the agency's continuous improvement and monitoring network, although the plan is still under negotiation with the local government of Camalig town.
