Calabarzon rules Palarong Pambansa standard chess

Region 4A or Calabarzon swept the secondary division standard chess tournament as Mark Jay Bacojo ruled the boys and Franchesca Largo dominated the girls category in the 2023 Palarong Pambansa Friday afternoon at the Community Hall of the Marikina Hotel and Convention Center in Marikina City.

Bacojo, who holds the title of FIDE Master, swept the tournament with seven points in seven rounds to claim his third gold medal here.
