TJ Amaro of Naga Parochial School notched a new record in the Palarong Pambansa boys' secondary 50-meter butterfly event at the Marikina Sports Center on Wednesday.
An incoming Grade 11 student, Amaro, 16, posted 26.14 seconds to win the gold and surpass the 26.34 record of Jules Mirandilla in the 2019 edition of Palaro.
