GNPower Dinginin Ltd. Co. (GNPD) recently signed a three-year agreement worth P4.3 million with the provincial government of Bataan, the Provincial Government Environment and Natural Resources Office and the Sagip Pawikan Foundation to adopt the pawikan (sea turtle) hatchery in Sitio Fuerte, Barangay Poblacion, Morong, Bataan.
Symbolically held at the heart of the province in The Bunker at Balanga, the memorandum of agreement marked the beginning of the company's flagship program of nurturing the pawikan in the province, which serves as the home to three out of the five identified species of sea turtles in the country: olive ridley, hawksbill and green turtles.
