NEW YORK CITY: A week after it began, the "Barbenheimer" boom has not abated.
Seven days after they conspired to set box-office records, Greta Gerwig's "Barbie" and Christopher Nolan's "Oppenheimer" remained strong in theaters. "Barbie" took in a massive $93 million in its second weekend, keeping it in the top spot, while "Oppenheimer" stayed in second with a robust $46.2 million, studio estimates showed on Sunday. Sales for the two movies dipped 43 percent and 44 percent, respectively, well shy of the usual week-two drops.
