No need to match Fed hike – Diokno

MONETARY authorities do not need to match the 25-basis-point (bp) rate hike announced by the US Federal Reserve (Fed) last week, Finance Secretary and Monetary Board member Benjamin Diokno said on Friday.

'I don't think we have to match,' the Cabinet official and former Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) governor said.
